Quote of the Day: “Seeking profit is what has always fueled our prosperity”

“At the same time, the rest of us can’t afford to demonize every investor or entrepreneur who seeks to make a profit. That drive is what has always fueled our prosperity, and it is what will ultimately get these banks lending and our economy moving once more.”

–Barack Obama

Now if only people listen….

  1. Why doesn’t he put his policy where his mouth is?

Obama talks centrist but governs hard-left.

  2. Foobarista is right – I don’t know that in my lifetime (including Clinton) there has been someone so skilled at talking out of both sides of his mouth. The litany of things he’s said he’s either for or against that changes to suit his own personal power and agenda is amazing – from the AIG bonuses which he placed in the legislation to the pork spending he said he wouldn’t sign (and then signed 8,000 into law) to the ‘middle class tax cut’ for those who pay no taxes and on and on – no one has done two-face better.

People better ‘hope’ he means what he says when he said this – but you can bet it was only for political expediency. Those words have already expired.
