And once we move on to the marrying world, we hit the same thing here in the Valley. At least 2/3 of the white techies I know are married to Asian women (including me).
Part of it is if you're a techie, 90% of the women you'll see are Asian, unless you're a bar-hopping party animal (which few techies are). In tech companies, the only non-Asian women work in HR or are receptionists (unless they're Russians or other Eastern Europeans – in which case, they'll be hugely in demand if they aren't married, which they usually are).
The few American-born white women you see in the tech world are hardcore vegan animal rights types who lecture you about global warming and eeeevil American SUVs in the lunchroom. And they wonder why they still aren't married when they're 50.
They can really kill sexual attraction at the drop of a hat.

asian women prefer white men because they are whores. asian culture is obsessed with power, status, social climbing, etc. so when you consider that most men around the world think asian women to be the most beautiful, asian women clearly have their pick of the litter. white men have conquered the world and control everything, so no matter how ugly or stupid a white man might be he will certainly have an easy time getting the most beautiful asian lady. being that asian men share the same culture of "success obsession" as their female counterparts, understand that being a whore is not considered a masculine or attractive quality for men in most parts of the world. so the poor asian man caught in the same disgusting social phenomenon spends his time dreaming about the white woman he will never attain and seems clueless as to why. perhaps he should get a job in construction or farming. or better yet, how about developing an idea of self respect that does not include being on top. it's sad to me living in boston where every single day i see hundreds of pretty asian girls going with retarded, busted, white loosers. this is not hard to see but people are reluctant to believe the truth. pride? ignorance? living in a fantasy world? all of these things contribute to the complete lack of serious concern for this issue. personally i find it disgusting and have a close connection to the whole thing. i'm a person of mixed american indian and white background and have spent most of my life living in heavily asian communities. asian girls are only atteacted to me because i look white, but when they discover i am culturally very indian they walk right out the door. i would write a book on the topic but i value my life and would not like to be assassinated. my advice to asian people is to have some dignity and stop looking at white people like they are some kind of gods. hard work and true love are the only values which stand the test of time, so know well that history will judge you a shame. if the future holds any promise that is.

I believe a lot of asian women prefer white men because being with white men, asian women feel comfortable if they are in an area dominated by the white culture. Asian women feel like they fit in the white culture more (assimilation). Another reason is because of the way the media treats asian women and white men, you see the white male hero saving the asian woman in movies. I don't agree with the second Anonymous comment about asian men always try to climb the social ladder and dreaming about an white woman. I admit there are a lot of asian men trying to be successful, but what's wrong with that? What woman would not be interested in a man that strives for success? Well, it is certainly obvious that Asian culture is very very concerned with appearance, even more so than in the West. You can be a lot of bad things inside, but if you have the right look, Asian women will put up with it more than will a western women. Most articles about this subject paint asian women as docile and obedient while western women are difficult and controlling. The two best questions i have found to ask are these…How did you meet? And How happy are you/will you be after 10 years together?
Honestly, in America, pulling women is a skill. Men with money and no skill get taken all the time. In asia, it seems that the surface/exterior does your gaming for you. I don't know what world you guys are living in.. but most asian women date and marry asian men unless they are twinkies (asian people who mingle mostly with white people). In any major city most asian women date asian men. Just log onto facebook or myspace and I'll bet that 90 percent of the asian women you see are dating asian men. Interracial relationships are much more common with white/black people.
I am an asian man that grew up in Canada, and I must admit that the 2nd anon comment is something I see often. I don't think white men are gods, but apparently many asian women subconsciously think so. The problem has to do with the media which has constantly stereotypes asian males into being awkward foreign strangers in a white community. On the other hand, asian females are stereotyped as well adjusted sexual icons. This is a far cry from their male counterparts and a component of asian male discrimination in North America.
The problem is also physical and socioeconomic. Asians immigrants are still generally at an social and economic disadvantage compared to Natives in the area. The real problem is that the popular culture that is spread among western communities largely chooses to ignore the children of these immigrants. It brands their parents as social misfits and shows mainly white and western role models. The asian men must compete dominantly against white males which are shown positively on TV and in most media. Ironically, the problem of asian males not being able to seek white females is largely dominated by the fact that they are physically smaller and shorter. Asian males who are tall and of sufficient physical stature find a lot more success among the dominant white culture. Meanwhile their generally shorter compatriots are socially stigmatized to not be able to date white women because society does not accept tall female, short male couples.
The list of possible reasons goes on. In any case, I doubt that the problem for asian males is that they always seek the top, and that that top is to marry white females. In contrast most of us are looking for regular asian female partners. The problem is that western culture does not adequately support or promote asian males in their media. This creates a situation where the asian male children are put at a disadvantage, which often lasts throughout their lives.

As an Asian female I can tell you that yes we do sort of select mates for their power, status and success but I think it isn't so much an obsession as it is connected to our happiness and our future.
Economic stability is just as important as true love when it comes to happiness. After all biology factors into "love" and the brain produces chemicals that lessen with time. A hard worker may work hard for now but if they aren't successful (only living hand to mouth) then they will have to work hard the rest of their life and that can place a strain on a relationship.
Most Asian women see a happy marriage as being about being happy, comfortable and stable with the person, and not necessarily who we love at the moment.
It is also why Asian women are more likely to not be bothered by May/December romances as an older man has a better chance of being powerful and successful.
